A Giac of all trades
Giacomo Rocchini is an actor and multidisciplinary creator. He seeks to explore content that forms a bridge between the spark of an idea and unquestionable trust. From experimental theater to episodic comedy, Giacomo is painting, writing and at heart, being a player of life.
A native of Florence- Italy, Giacomo started out pursuing his interests in ancient studies and music, studying guitar at Berklee College of Music and following a degree in Philosophy at the State University of Milan. His passion for classical work and knowledge of Latin and ancient Greek still drive his efforts as an Italo-American connector.
As an actor, Giacomo can be seen in the episodic dramas Madam Secretary (CBS) and in Hulu’s Catch 22. He leads the Othello based film Rialto, produced by Oblivion Films and recognized at the Shakespeare Film Festival. He has more recently been spotted playing Ulysses in Ric Burns'documentary drama series Dante and as Gary in USC’s sci-fi film Ripple Effect.
In New York City, he was an artist-in-residence at the legendary East Village theater La MaMa E.T.C., where he starred in the critically acclaimed Hamlet Hallucinations and performed in the well-received play Benghazi Bergen-Belsen. Additionally, he also played Romeo in the performance art piece Romeo and Juliet.
Through his partnership with LaMaMa E.T.C, he directed, produced, and developed the original immersive show In Vino Veritas, as well as collaborating with the Pathological Theater Co., the Pioneers Go East Collective, and Loco 7.
Giacomo is currently writing and producing the bilingual scripted comedy It.Aliens, as well as developing his visual artwork under the pseudonym GROCENTS.
