GIACOMO ROCCHINI
A Giac of all trades
Giacomo Rocchini is an actor and multidisciplinary creator. He seeks to explore content that forms a bridge between the spark of an idea and unquestionable trust. From experimental theater to episodic comedy, Giacomo is painting, writing and at heart, being a player of life.
ABOUT
As an actor, Giacomo is currently working on the post-production of the untitled CABRINI movie directed by Alejandro Monteverde and produced by Jonathan Sanger and Leo Severino, in which he plays the bloodthirsty Five Points dwelling pimp GENO. His recent credits include ULYSSES in Ric Burns'documentary drama series Dante, Gary in USC’s sci-fi short film Ripple Effect and DIEGO in the independent comedy series cLAssy. He leads the Othello based film Rialto, produced by Oblivion Films and recognized at the Shakespeare Film Festival and can also be seen in the episodic dramas Madam Secretary (CBS) and in Hulu’s Catch 22.
In New York City, he was an artist-in-residence at the legendary East Village theater La MaMa E.T.C., where he starred in the critically acclaimed Hamlet Hallucinations and performed in the well-received play Benghazi Bergen-Belsen. Additionally, he also played Romeo in the performance art piece Romeo and Juliet.
Through his partnership with LaMaMa E.T.C, he directed, produced, and developed the original immersive show In Vino Veritas, as well as collaborating with the Pathological Theater Co., the Pioneers Go East Collective, and Loco 7.
Giacomo is currently developing the supernatural mystery short movie
Scripted, inspired by Tik-tok trending "reality shifting", and written in collaboration with fellow screenwriter Aitan Shachar. The bilingual scripted comedy It.Aliens is also in the works.
A native of Florence, Italy, Giacomo started out pursuing his interests in classical studies and music, studying guitar at Berklee College of Music and pursuing a degree in Philosophy at the State University of Milan. His passion for classical work and knowledge of Latin and ancient Greek still drive his efforts as an Italo-American connector.
He develops his own visual artwork under the pseudonym of GROCENTS.
